1 Bulb and 3 Switches This is a common puzzle currently or used to be asked in interviews. Been so popular its solution is easily available on internet and is as follows :- Problem:- Let B1 the bulb on some floor and S1, S2 & S3 be the switches and one of them is connected to B1. We have to find out which switch? Common Solution:- Now lets first turn on S1 and wait for some time. After that turn S1 off and S2 on. Now look at the bulb B1. If its on then S2 is the answer. If its off and hot then S1 is the answer and if its off but cold then S3. Now what can be other solutions? Lets say bulb B1 doesn't get hot at all.Then what. Alt Solution -1:- Now lets first turn on S1 and wait for some time. After that turn S1 off and S2 on. Now look at temperature of room AND NOT THE BULB. If the bulb is on then its S2. If the bulb is off but the temp of place is HIGHER THEN AMBIENT TEMP OF Surrounding then its S1 otherwise S3. Alt
